The Taipei Disbursement Office, an establishment of 69 to 93 employees. On 1st July, 1999, in conformance with operations related to the retrenchment of provincial organizations, the previous central disbursement division of Taiwan Province was merged in its entirety into the Taipei Disbursement Office with ratification from the Executive Yuan. The Central Region Office was established at the original site of the previously existing division to facilitate operations in carrying out the policy of local settlement.
　　The functions of the Taipei Disbursement Office relate to the supervision of the national central disbursement transactions of the treasury for the central government, including budget control, issuance of checks, compilation and report of payments, provision of payment information, and work on common administrative affairs.
